AI review responses

The reply is where review management either builds trust or destroys it. This page explains how Sentinova drafts one, what it uses as input, and why it will not post without you.

What is an AI review response?

An AI review response is a reply to a customer review written by a language model rather than by hand. A good one reflects the star rating, names the specific thing the reviewer mentioned, and reads like the business rather than a template. A bad one is a generic "Thank you for your feedback" pasted under fifty different reviews, which customers recognise instantly.

How does Sentinova draft a review response?

Sentinova reads the review text, its star rating, and the platform it came from, then drafts a reply addressed to the specific point the reviewer raised. A complaint about a 30-minute wait gets a reply about the wait; a compliment about a particular server gets a reply that names what was praised. The draft is shown to you to edit and approve.

Why does every reply need owner approval?

Sentinova does not publish replies on its own. It drafts a reply for every review and the owner edits and approves it before it posts under the business name.

A reply publishes under your business name and stays there. Approval exists so a model never commits you to a refund you did not offer, admits a fault that was not yours, or answers a serious complaint in a tone you would not have used.

What a drafted reply accounts for

How drafted replies differ by review type
ReviewWhat the draft doesWhat it avoids
5 stars, specific praiseNames the dish, service, or staff member praised and invites a return visitGeneric thanks that could sit under any review
4 stars with one complaintThanks for the visit, acknowledges the single issue, states what changesIgnoring the complaint because the rating was good
3 stars, mixedTakes the criticism seriously and offers a direct contact routeArguing with the reviewer’s experience
1–2 stars, serious complaintApologises for the specific failure, avoids excuses, moves the conversation offlineBlaming the customer or disputing facts in public
Negative review with no detailInvites the reviewer to share what went wrong, politely and onceDemanding the review be taken down

Will AI replies sound like my business?

Drafts are generated per review rather than from a fixed template library, so two reviews about different things do not get the same sentence. You still edit before approving, and the edits you make are the fastest way to keep the voice yours.

Frequently asked questions

How many AI replies do I get per month?

Starter at $29.00 per month includes up to 10 AI-drafted replies per month. Growth at $49.49 and Pro at $99.99 raise that limit, with Pro the highest-volume tier.

Does Google or Yelp penalise AI-written replies?

Neither platform bans owner replies written with software assistance. What both penalise is fake reviews and incentivised reviews. Because a human approves every Sentinova reply before it posts, the published response is an owner response under the platforms’ rules.

Can I write my own reply instead?

Yes. The draft is a starting point in an editable field. You can rewrite it completely, or ignore it and write from scratch.
